Dodge Charger Onboard at the Le Mans Classic
In the 1970's a few teams attempted to convert NASCAR stock cars to run at the Le Mans 24 hours, with fairly limited success. Now some of those cars are back at the Le Mans Classic 2012 and motorsportvideo.TV has this footage from yesterday's practice session. NASCARs don't usually run in the rain and with the amount of the sawing at the wheel the driver is having to do you can see why, particularly watch for the very slippery approach into Indianapolis.
The driver also elects not to use his windscreen wipers which will no doubt have my Drive Cult colleague Chris Ratcliff saying 'Punch it Chewie'.
