Glamour meets Eco at the film industry annual event
The 1937 Mercedes W125 was one of the legendary pre War Silver Arrows Grand Prix cars. Producing around 650bhp it was considerably more powerful than the contemporary F1 cars of 1962 when this film was shot.
The circuit is considerably different from that of today (there are no run offs or crash barriers for a start), and while Lang is not right on the limit, it is a incredible site to see this machine on the circuit. Equally enthralling is the voice over commentary from two time Formula 1 world Champion Graham Hill.
