Photos from the annual Brooklands Museum New Year's Day gathering.
Every year Brooklands Museum hosts a car gathering on New Year's Day, with everything from classics to modern supercars invited to park within the historic grounds. This year saw a huge turnout despite some rather inclement weather. Here are a selection of cars from the event.
Tucked away in a corner was one of my stars of the event this lovely Porsche 356 outlaw
The term outlaw is usually only applied to Porsches but would be apt for this Jaguar XK120 as well
Stripped interior worked well too.
A louvred and strapped bonnet indicated this XK120 FHC was not entirely standard either
MGA 'Speedster' continued the 'outlaw' theme
Minilite wheels and a throaty exhaust note showed this MGA Coupé also had some intent
Some hot rods come straight from the factory like this Plymouth Road Runner Superbird
This Chrysler New Yorker shone despite the gloom
This El Camino would have looked more at home in Texas rather than Brooklands
This VW Camper wore its 'patina' with pride
In contrast to this immaculate and very rare in the UK Mazda RX4
Star italian car was this gorgeous Lancia Aurelia Spyder America
Although this Ferrari F40 ran it close
All car events feature a few Porsche 911s like this 1974 2.7 Carrera
The banking featured a line up of Porsche 928s lead by this rare manual 928GT
Right up to date now with this Alfa Romeo 4C. Sounded quite good with the sports exhaust option
There were a couple of the latest Lamborghini Huracans in attendance. Afraid I'm not keen on the looks or the sound from
