BMW's most recent in a long line of 'Art' cars was unveiled in Paris yesterday by contemporary artist Jeff Koons.
Koons joins the likes of Andy Warhol and Alexander Calder as artists who have designed BMW Art cars, this being the seventeenth. The canvas in this case was a BMW M3 GTR which is scheduled to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in less than two weeks time.
Earlier this season, BMW invited Koons to a few ALMS races to watch the M3 GTR in action to draw some inspiration. The car is meant to evoke the sensory overload of night-time endurance racing. Mission accomplished, then.
