Lexus' supercar gets even faster and more exclusive with the LFA Nürburgring Package.
Cars don't get much more exclusive than the Lexus LFA. With only 500 slated to be produced, even if you did have the $375,000 required to park one in your garage, you'd be hard pressed to get your name on the waiting list. However, this level of exclusivity wasn't quite enough for some at Lexus. The LFA Nürburgring package has been tweaked to be as fast as possible around the track of its namesake and only 50 will be produced.
For this special edition, Lexus has focused almost exclusively on handling characteristics. In fact, the extra 10 hp from the 4.8 liter V10 is present only to counteract the added drag from the boot-mounted, downforce-aiding wing. Also setting the Nürburgring package apart from more pedestrian LFAs are a lowered suspension and carbon fiber front spoiler, side spoilers and canard wing.
Lexus has not announced any 'Ring times for the new package, but safe to say it should be rather quick, given the amount of miles the LFA has logged at the Nürburgring. The LFA Nürburgring package will command a $70,000 / £40,000 premium over a base LFA, but if you want to go even further, you can throw in matte black paint for another $20,000 / £12,000.
