Video from this year's Le Mans Classic.
This year's Le Mans Classic featured rain, lots of rain. Friend of Drive Cult, Jonny Shears, sent us this video of a 1954 Morgan Plus 4 Supersports racing in Plateau 2 (for cars from the early fifties) race 3. The car was driven by Jonny's father, Mark and Graham Coles, who is at the wheel when this video was shot. Graham has to battle rivers of water on the track, spinning competitors, all whilst keeping out of the way of the front running and very rapid Jaguar C Type being driven by Al Buncombe. Despite this he manages to keep up an impressive pace passing a number of cars you would expect to be faster than the little Morgan.
The car, nicknamed Choc Ices, was originally run by the Morgan Factory in 1954 and was raced by the factory through the 1960s.
Thanks to Jonny for the Video.
