The factory prototypes may have been conspicuously absent, but the 2012 Petit Le Mans provided no less of a spectacle than years past. Record crowds, a hugely competitive GT class and a very successful outing for the Nissan Deltawing in its second race ever against the backdrop of Road Atlanta made for a very exciting race. Drive Cult friend Daryl Jiles (I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: best NASCAR name ever) was there to take in the action.

The GTE Vipers have been getting more and more competitive throughout the season. Expect them to be a force next season.
