When is a 911 not a 911? Porsche gives us the answer in this latest video.
This oddly shaped, slightly tatty Porsche 911 is not a real 911. It’s actually an early Boxster prototype disguised as a 935 Targa, and includes a heavily tinted rear window hiding a mid mounted flat-six where you would otherwise expect to find a pair of useless rear seats.
It lives in the Porsche Museum archives and is the latest subject matter in Porsche’s 911 Secrets video series. Last week, a V8 911 was profiled, which we’ve also included below for your viewing pleasure.
Both are cool for sure, but our favorite 911 unicorn still resides at the McLaren Technology Center.
