“Well, the 12C is the wife’s car now.”
We knew McLaren's P1 would be quick, but 7:04 is incredible for a car with air conditioning and a stereo.

In two weeks’ time at the Paris Motor Show, McLaren will unveil what in all probability will be their fastest road car to date. Currently codenamed P12, the super McLaren shares the same twin-turbo V8 found in the MP4-12C tuned up to about 800 bhp. A KERS system will provide close to 200 extra horses, bringing the total close to the 1000 bhp mark.
The video McLaren released today teases the shape of the P1, and from what we can tell it’s very low, very wide and appears to use some of the more toned down family styling cues of the 12C. Like its grandfather, the F1, the P1 is a cost no object exercise, meaning performance and price will be stratospheric. Check back in a few weeks to get the full story from Paris.
